We are seeking an experienced Contract Site Manager to oversee the successful delivery of a Sewage Treatment Works (STW) project on a fixed-term contract basis. As a Contract Site Manager, you will take full responsibility for managing the on-site activities, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, and driving the project to meet its goals on time and within budget. Key Responsibilities:

Site and Project Management:
Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the STW project site, ensuring compliance with project plans and contract specifications.

Health & Safety Leadership:
Maintain a safe working environment by strictly enforcing health and safety policies, conducting regular site safety inspections, and ensuring all team members are compliant with relevant regulations.

Temporary Works Coordination:
Plan, manage, and oversee all temporary works as part of your role as the Temporary Works Coordinator, ensuring adherence to legal and safety standards.

Team Supervision:
Oversee and motivate on-site teams, including engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors, to ensure all work is delivered to high standards of quality and efficiency.

Client and Stakeholder Liaison:
Act as the primary point of contact for the client, subcontractors, and other stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and reporting throughout the contract duration.

Quality Control:
Monitor the quality of all construction work, ensuring strict adherence to design specifications, building codes, and environmental regulations.

Cost and Budget Control:
Monitor project budgets and work closely with the commercial team to ensure that the project is delivered within financial targets. Identify cost-saving opportunities as they arise.

Progress Monitoring:

Key Requirements:

  • Experience:

    Minimum of 5 years' experience in a Site Manager role, ideally within sewage treatment works (STW) or water infrastructure projects.Proven track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget in a contract capacity.
  • Essential Qualifications:

    • CSCS Gold Card
    • Temporary Works Coordinator Certificate
    • First Aider
    • SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme)
  • Skills and Competencies:

    • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
    • Excellent communication skills to liaise with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
    • Solid problem-solving and decision-making capabilities, especially in fast-paced project environments.
    • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Ability to manage resources, budgets, and schedules effectively, delivering to contractual obligations.
  • Personal Attributes:
