Technical Trainer
The company works within the IT services industry for defence contracts.
Role Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Training Needs Analysis:
- Carry out Training Needs Analysis workshops to identify:
- The training audience and stakeholders.
- The roles associated with the subject of the training.
- The training gap analysis.
- Draft training objectives.
- Training options.
- Produce a Training Needs Analysis report.
Training Design and Development:
- Produce a Learning Specification for each course module detailing Training Objectives, Enabling Objectives and Key Learning Points.
- Produce Lesson Plans.
- Develop training exercises.
- Produce training content including presentations, handouts and other training material.
Training Delivery:
- Set up training environments at SecureCloud+ premises and on Customer sites.
- Deliver training to SecureCloud+ personnel and to Customers.
- Carry out post training delivery assessment to ensure continual improvement.
User / Support Documentation:
- Produce User Guides and Manuals.
- Produce Maintenance Guides.
Education and Experience Requirements
As the Technical Trainer you will have:
- Level 3 Certificate in Education and Training
- A working knowledge of the technologies that are used in the Company's product set. This should include an understanding of how various technologies are employed for the following:
- VMWare
- Dell Technologies
- Networking (Routers/Switches)
- User Acceptance Testing
- MS Cloud
- ITIL v3/4 Foundation Certificate
- Ability to establish and develop a new role within the organisation.
- Attention to detail and used to working to high levels of quality.
- A high level of written and verbal communication skills.
- Confidence when interacting with Customer personnel at all levels.
- Confidence when interacting with skilled technical personnel.
- Ability to ably represent the Company when working at Customer sites.
- A commitment to continually develop technical skills.
- Initiative and pro-activeness, matched by an ability to be a strong member of a team.
- Willingness to work flexibly in response to changing organisational requirements.
UKSV is required for this position. Candidates must possess or be eligible to obtain SC clearance, with a view to obtaining UK Developed Vetting (DV) clearance as required.
