Join our award-winning in-house software development team as a Data Engineer. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in the Microsoft BI stack, including SSRS, SSIS, SQL, and Power BI. You will be involved in the design, development, and delivery of comprehensive data solutions, focusing on data reporting and performance dashboards.

Day-to-Day of the Role:
  • Design and develop full data solutions, particularly focusing on data reporting using the Microsoft BI stack.
  • Develop and maintain Data Warehouses and performance dashboards for operational teams and external customers.
  • Create SSRS reports and utilize data visualization tools such as Power BI to ensure business and customer access to essential MI/BI.
  • Capture requirements from business members to help shape the development of reports and dashboards.
  • Mentor and guide team members towards an automated test-driven approach using Visual Studio and Azure DevOps.
  • Liaise with third-party software providers throughout the lifecycle, including design, development, support, and maintenance.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Extensive experience with T-SQL and Microsoft BI technologies.
  • Proficiency in SSRS, SSIS, SQL Server (2008/12/16), and Power BI.
  • Experience in developing database solutions in Visual Studio and managing releases via Azure DevOps automated deployments.
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing, ETL, and database concepts.
  • Experience in Test Driven Development and the ability to instill this mindset in the team.
  • Desirable skills include CI/CD Pipelines, Azure SQL, and Azure Data Factory.
