We are currently seeking a reliable, dedicated, and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join a well-established secondary school in Stoke-on-Trent. Role Overview:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising classes in the absence of the regular class teacher. You will ensure that students remain on task, following lesson plans set by the absent teacher, and assist students with their learning where necessary. This role will allow you to make a positive impact on students' education while gaining valuable experience in the classroom.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and manage student behaviour in line with the school's behaviour policy.
Ensure that students complete tasks set by the absent teacher.
Provide assistance to students as required, encouraging independent learning.
Support students with additional learning needs where appropriate.
Follow all school policies and procedures, ensuring a safe and positive learning environment.
Maintain accurate records of student engagement and progress during lessons.
Essential Requirements:

Previous experience working with children or young people (ideally within a school setting).
Strong communication skills and the ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively.
Good organisational skills and the ability to adapt to a variety of classroom settings.
A proactive, positive attitude and a passion for supporting student development.
A flexible approach, as the role may require working with different age groups and subjects.
Desirable Qualifications:

A relevant qualification (e.g., degree, teaching assistant qualification) is an advantage but not essential.
Previous experience as a cover supervisor or in a similar educational role.
