3rd Line IT Support Engineer - Stoke-on-Trent - £45,000

My client, a leading MSP based in Stoke are looking for a 3rd Line Engineer to join their growing team. They are at the forefront of technology and are looking to use a large round of investment to bring in top talent to their ranks.

The Role

  • You will act as a focal point of the IT Support team, providing expert support to both internal staff and clients.
  • In this position, you will be tasked with carrying out system administration tasks, such as configuration and optimisation of internal servers, databases and any other integral parts of the IT Infrastructure.
  • At times you will carry out patches for systems, applications and infrastructure components.
  • It will be expected that you can provide accurate and up to date documentation and produce troubleshooting guides, helping to mentor and educate junior members of staff.

Required Experience

  • You will have experience providing support up to a 3rd line level, ideally in an MSP.
  • Expertise in troubleshooting issues for Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • A strong understanding of network topologies such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLAN's and Firewalls.
  • Virtualisation experience using VMware and Hyper-V
  • An active SC Clearance or the ability to obtain an SC Clearance.
