Job Title: Mechanical Fitter / Machine Setter
Location: ST4
Salary:£13.72/h per hour (increasing to £14.33/h once training completed)
Working Hours:
- Monday to Thursday: 07:00 to 15:45
- Friday: 07:00 to 12:45
- Overtime: Saturday overtime may be required once or twice a month
Key Responsibilities:
- 75% of the role: Setting up extruders and various cutting machines to ensure the production of products at the correct sizes.
- 25% of the role: Responding to machine breakdowns and carrying out necessary repairs to get them operational as quickly as possible.
- Perform routine machine maintenance to prevent future breakdowns.
- Assist with other mechanical tasks as required.
Skills & Experience:
- Strong mechanical knowledge is essential.
- Experience in machine setup and maintenance, particularly with extruders and cutting machines, is desirable.
- Welding skills or basic electrical knowledge would be an advantage.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly, especially in high-pressure situations.
