Providing a valuable service in our Ocean Freight department, to organise the safe, efficient and cost-effective transportation of goods for Deep Sea Imports.
Please note: This is a Remote role but Induction and Training will be held for the first 2 weeks at our Stoke site so please bear this in mind when applying.
Handling Ocean Export FCL and LCL on a start to finish basis
Providing a high level of customer service at all times and building good business relationships with clients
Liaising with customers and shipping lines
Negotiate rates with Shipping Lines, maximising profitability by obtaining best prices whilst maintaining excellent service levels.
Booking in jobs on the in-house system (Azyra)
Arranging Export entries
Dealing with any queries/problems and resolving to minimise delays
Develop and maintain good relationships with suppliers
Working with the commercial department to assist growth
Keeping customers advised and updated at all stages of the Export process
Invoicing and administration
Prepare quotations for all Ocean Export requirements in an accurate and timely manner.
Correspond with overseas agents to obtain best prices and services
Knowledge & Experience
Extensive Ocean Export experience
A good knowledge of Ocean Export procedures and documentation, consols.
Ability to complete customs entries
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to work to deadlines with accuracy
Ability to work well within a small team and use own initiative
Computer literate
Flexible and adaptable attitude with a willingness to learn new skills

Monday - Friday
9am to 5.30pm (some flexibility required) - 1 hour lunch break
