An amazing opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Engineer to join one of my favourite clients to recruit for. Theyre a nationwide FMCG company based in the Stoke-on-Trent area, and this company actually does do what it promises, placing a huge emphasis on the training and the development of their Engineers, which, along with a genuinely superb salary and benefits package, they have incredibly low staff turnover, and this position has only arisen due to a retirement.

The ideal candidate would be an electrically biased Maintenance Engineer who has experience working within food manufacturing, but there is flexibility, as recruiting the right person into their established team is important to them, so if you feel that you could be a good fit and would like to work for a fantastic employer who will invest in your development, please read on.

Maintenance Engineer Duties include:

  • Continental shift (2 days 2 nights).
  • Assist with breakdowns.
  • Planned and reactive maintenance.
  • Improving and maintaining production equipment.
  • Updating CMMS.
  • Fault diagnostic and repair.
  • Continuous improvement projects.

Maintenance Engineer Requirements include:

  • Recognised engineering qualifications. (NVQ Level 3 as minimum).
  • Apprentice trained.
  • Electrically qualified.
  • PLC knowledge advantageous.
  • FMCG experience.
  • Hydraulics and Pneumatics.
