Description

Directing and managing all mechanical maintenance activities in the engineering and manufacturing department.
Ensuring the optimum efficiency and safety of all machinery.
Implementing preventive maintenance programmes to minimise downtime.
Diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment malfunctions.
Collaborating with other engineers to improve manufacturing processes.
Keeping detailed records of machinery maintenance and repairs.
Regularly conducting risk assessments and safety checks.
Providing technical guidance to junior engineering staff.

Profile

A successful Mechanical Maintenance Engineer should have:

A relevant qualification in mechanical engineering
Proven experience in mechanical maintenance within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
In-depth knowledge of machinery and hydraulic, electrical and pneumatic systems.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex machinery issues.
Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
