We are currently looking to recruit a skilled and proactive Maintenance Engineer for our client in the Burslem area.
Role overview
You will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our production equipment and facilities through preventive maintenance, swift repairs and continuous improvement initiatives. Previous experience of using a FFS machine would be advantageous but not essential.
Your Key Responsibilities to help our client achieve their vision:
- Perform and improve planned maintenance on all equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment faults to minimize downtime.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards during all tasks.
- Collaborate with the production team to improve equipment performance and efficiency.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
- Support installation and commissioning of new equipment.
- Be part of the health and safety committee.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer in a manufacturing, industrial or similar environment.
- Qualification in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or a related field (NVQ, HND, Degree, etc).
- Strong knowledge of PLC systems, hydraulics, pneumatics and electrics.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work shifts and respond to emergencies when required.
- Counterbalance and reach truck trained (not essential)

Hours of work: 08.00am to 16.15pm Monday to Friday (some flexibility required)
