Key Responsibilities:The successful candidate will:

  • Manage a team of production operatives, ensuring smooth and efficient production processes.
  • Coordinate and oversee the Wire Rope, Petroleum Jelly, and Rust Prevention plants.
  • Ensure production schedules are met safely, on time, and in accordance with customer demand and OTIF targets.
  • Uphold high standards in cost, quality, safety, and compliance in all operations.
  • Ensure plant operations adhere to local and global regulatory standards, including GMP, MHRA, and HSSE requirements.
  • Provide technical support for wire rope, petroleum jelly, and rust prevention production.
  • Take responsibility for routine Legionella checks on the cooling tower.
  • Develop strong working relationships with cross-functional teams to promote operational success.
  • Champion Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives and embed Right First Time (RFT) behaviors within the production team.
  • Maintain excellent housekeeping and safety standards throughout the facility.

Candidate Profile:The ideal candidate will have:

  • A degree (or equivalent experience) in Chemistry, Engineering, or Process Operations.
  • Proven experience in production management, ideally within the Food, Lubricant or Chemical industry.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and decision-making skills, alongside a solid understanding of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) practices.
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma and SAP (advantageous, but not essential).
