Senior Operations Manager (North)Remote£70,000 - £80,000 + bonus, car and benefitsOverview:Our client is a leading provider of value-added services to grocery retail customers, delivering cutting-edge solutions across the supply chain. They are currently seeking a Senior Operations Manager to lead and support three Northern region sites and play a pivotal role in achieving strategic goals.Key Responsibilities:

  • Overall accountability for the operational performance of 3 sites in the Northern region, managing through 3 Site Managers in the region.
  • Working very closely with the site managers to ensure the delivery of performance efficiencies, service excellence and strategic objectives.
  • Seeking opportunities to drive continuous improvement of services and operations.
  • Set clear performance targets and KPIs and ensure that these are met and exceeded.
  • Work closely with the site management teams and senior management to ensure that the message is clear and delivered.
  • Manage resources and workforce planning ensuring optimal productivity while maintaining high standards of safety and compliance.
  • Provide leadership and coaching to site managers enabling them to navigate challenging periods and unforeseen issues.

Person Specification:

  • Proven experience in a senior operations role either in manufacturing, production, logistics or supply chain.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing multiple sites and teams.
  • Demonstrable track record of driving operational performance improvements and efficiencies.
  • Able to manage large scale, high volume and fast paced operational environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills with experience of using data in decision-making.
  • used to working in a KPI environment where performance management and metrics are central.
  • Prepared to travel extensively around the site network stretching between the West Midlands and Yorkshire.
