Service Engineer (UK) – Inspection EquipmentMechanical bias Location: Stoke (open to north of bham)Salary: £35,000 + overtime (OTE ~£10,000+)

We are Service Engineer to join our team, responsible for the service, repair, and support of industrial Metal Detection, Checkweighing, X-Ray, and Vision inspection equipment across the UK. There is also an option to travel internationally if desired.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Support & Training: Commission new machinery, perform validation visits, and provide technical support via phone and on-site visits.
  • Product Performance & Upgrades: Train users (QC, maintenance, and operators) and apply software enhancements to improve equipment performance.
  • Fault Diagnosis & Repairs: Identify and resolve product issues, ensuring high customer satisfaction and providing feedback to Technical and Production teams.
  • Sales & Inter-Departmental Support: Work with the Sales team to identify upgrade opportunities and uneconomic repairs, assist Production with customer returns, and support after-sales upgrades or refits.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience in electrical & mechanical engineering (field service experience preferred).
  • Background in the food manufacturing industry (preferred).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication skills with a personable approach.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel (UK and occasional international trips).
