JOB DESCRIPTION

Are you a Band 8a Clinical Pharmacist looking for a rewarding locum role in Stoke? We have an exciting opportunity for you!

• Job Title: Clinical Pharmacist (Band 8a)
• Location: Stoke – NHS Hospital
• Duration: Minimum 3 months
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm (30 min break)
• Start Date: March/April 2025
• End Date: Ongoing
• Rate of Pay: £33-37ph

Join our client's team as a Clinical Pharmacist and play a key role in improving patient care within a hospital setting. In this role, you will:

• Work in a ward-based setting, delivering clinical pharmacy services
• Conduct medication reviews and optimise drug therapies for patients
• Provide expert advice on prescribing and medicines management
• Support the dispensary team with allocated slots (2 hours per shift)
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A current and valid GPhC registration
• Prior NHS hospital experience
• Strong clinical knowledge and experience in wards-based pharmacy
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• A commitment to delivering high-quality patient care

This role requires availability from Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm, with flexibility where possible. The contract is for a minimum of 3 months, with a strong possibility of extension based on performance and service needs.
