An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Technical Product Owner to join a forward-thinking team. This remote-based role offers the chance to be a key decision-maker, working closely with senior leaders to manage product backlogs and deliver substantial value to clients. Occasional travel to the office in Stoke on Trent will be required.

Day to Day of the role:
  • Act as a key decision-maker, collaborating with senior leaders and team members to craft and deliver stories aligned with the company’s aims and objectives.
  • Take ownership of your product backlog, set priorities, and ensure it is correctly ordered.
  • Play an active role in the product/service lifecycle, including planning, process design, deployment, and benefits realisation.
  • Work closely with team members to understand required changes, facilitate communication, and direct the team towards the most cost-effective tasks.
  • Break down features and epics into end-to-end functionality through user stories.
  • Define user story acceptance criteria using the Given-When-Then Gherkin format.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience with technology such as Microsoft tech stack (e.g., .Net), Python, or Java.
  • Self-starter with a strong work ethic and the ability to work with limited supervision.
  • Strong client focus with a consistent track record of delivering to user needs.
  • Skilled problem solver with the ability to deconstruct issues and find optimal solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Data-driven approach to feature development with a focus on accuracy.
