Your new companyYou will be working for a Housing Association based in Staffordshire as a Support Worker.Your new role
- Provide and maintain a friendly and supportive environment in the scheme.
- Cover reception tasks including phone calls, post and enquiries.
- Support customers in managing their rent and service charge payments, including their benefit claims where necessary.
- Undertake regular health and safety room checks.
- Support customers and provide crisis intervention where necessary.
- Provide advice on housing, health, welfare benefit claims and other issues as necessary.
What you'll need to succeed
- Someone with a genuine understanding and compassion for people without a home, who won't judge but instead will empower customers and give them a voice.
- A flexible and adaptable approach and someone able to work around the needs of the customer.
- Some experience dealing with the public and/or customers in a busy service environment.
- Some experience dealing with complex/ difficult behaviours in relation to women experiencing multiple disadvantages.
- Great communication skills.
What you'll get in returnYou will receive an hourly rate of £12.82 including holiday pay. This opportunity provides you with the flexibility of working day and night shifts, 7 days per week.
