Unfortunately, we cannot provide VISA sponsorship and we do not hire on a relocation basis, you must currently be based in/around the Stoke-On-Trent area and able to commute.
We've got a rewarding opportunity for the right person to work with a young adult living in Stoke-On-Trent. They have a diagnosis of quadriplegic cerebral palsy and curvature of the spine, has epilepsy and can experience focal and tonic clonic seizures, prescribed daily medication for the management of seizures, has asthma and can experience pooling of secretions and require oral suctioning. To communicate they use vocalisations, eye pointing, facial expressions and raising their hand up and down.
Working on a 2:1 basis they live in a purpose build pod on the grounds of the family home, the pod will always be clean, the pod has pretty décor and bright colours which reflects the personality of the client. Very close to family who also supports the care needs.

Key ResponsibilitiesSupport Workers cover all manners of support for others - from companionship and days out, to personal care and housekeeping
Support with all facets of daily living.
Complex care such as PEG
Support with mobility (hoisted) 2:1 basis
Foster a supportive and inclusive environment.
Support with activities and outings / Working and Playing / Goal Planning
Ensure the individual's safety and well-being at all times.
Communicate effectively with the individual and other team members.
confidentiality and respect privacy.
Adhere to care plans and guidelines provided.
Aid with light household chores which may include cooking, cleaning.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Ability to effectively communicate with individuals requiring care.
Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.
Empathy, patience, and compassion when interacting with individuals in need of support.
Flexibility and adaptability to meet varying care needs.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Willingness to undergo additional training and development as required.
