Aspire People are looking to place experienced SEN Teaching Assistants to join an Independent special school located in the Stoke area, dedicated to providing high-quality education and care for pupils aged 4 to 11 years with a range of special educational needs. Our school is committed to creating a nurturing, inclusive environment where every child is valued, and their unique needs are met with patience, understanding, and expert support.Key Responsibilities:* Work closely with class teachers to provide tailored support for pupils with a range of SEN, including ASC, MLD, SLD, ADHD and Challenging Behaviours.* Assist in creating a safe and stimulating environment that promotes learning and positive behaviour.* Provide one-on-one and group support to pupils during lessons and activities, adapting teaching materials and approaches as needed.* Foster positive relationships with pupils, offering emotional and behavioural support.* Help monitor and record pupils progress, sharing insights with teachers and contributing to personalised learning plans.* Support pupils with personal care needs where necessary.The Ideal Candidate:We are looking for individuals who are enthusiastic, compassionate, and committed to making a difference in the lives of children with special educational needs.Key Attributes:* Patience and Kindness: The ability to support and nurture each child with empathy and understanding.* Commitment: A strong dedication to helping children reach their potential, with a willingness to go the extra mile.* Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and external agencies.* Adaptability: The capability to adapt to the varied needs of pupils and changing situations in the classroom.* Experience: Previous experience working with children with SEN is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided.* Qualifications: Relevant qualifications (such as a Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification) are advantageous but not mandatory.If you are passionate about supporting children with special educational needs and believe you have the qualities we are looking for, we would love to hear from you.
