PRIMARY SEN TEACHER REQUIRED - Stoke-on-Trent

Academics are looking for a Long Term Supply SEN Teacher to support a small group of 8 pupils ranging from EYFS to Year 1. This is a full-time position for the entire academic year. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Special Educational Needs (SEN) and a proven track record of working effectively with young children requiring additional support.

Key Responsibilities may include:

  • Develop and implement individualised education plans (IEPs) for each pupil
  • Deliver tailored lessons and activities to meet the diverse needs of pupils with SEN
  • Monitor and assess pupil progress, adjusting strategies as needed
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and other staff to provide comprehensive support
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to provide updates on pupil progress and address any concerns

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Extensive experience in teaching pupils with Special Educational Needs
  • Strong knowledge of SEN best practices and current methodologies
  • Experience in creating and implementing IEPs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
