My client a leading and very well established £15 mill T/O Manufacturing, Design and Engineering company is seeking a Demand Planning Manager for a permanent career opportunity.

The role:

We are seeking a self-motivated future leader to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be driven, bright, engaging, excellent at understanding, managing and developing people. The successful candidate will require high intellect to handle a challenging and rewarding role.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring work is correctly understood within the business and optimised plans are created for the production and delivery of a range of critical and advanced products and markets.
  • Capacity management to ensure sufficient forward planning to prevent capacity constraints and delays.
  • Working with various teams and Project Managers to get correct plans going quickly and are managed well through to completion.
  • Excellent communication so that the right people know what they need to know to get the job done.
  • Coordination of supply chain and internal operations, and making suren both align with market needs.

This role requires a strategic thinker who can pre-empt future demand trends, work really well with people and relish a challenge.

Duties- Develop and implement demand planning strategies to optimise inventory levels and ensure product availability.- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, operations and supply chain, to gather insights on market trends and customer preferences.- Utilise various systems and people to analyse data and forecast demand accurately.- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to demand planning and make recommendations for improvements.- Conduct regular reviews of inventory levels and adjust forecasts based on changing market conditions.- Lead initiatives to enhance the efficiency of the supply chain process, ensuring timely delivery of products.- Prepare reports and presentations for senior management regarding demand forecasts, trends, and recommendations.

Experience- Proven experience in a high performance business or organisations, and of coaching/managing people.

- No specific planning experience is necessary (it obviously helps) as training is available.- Proficiency in using the usual range of computer systems.- Excellent communication skills, primarily verbal. Also written, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and make presentations.- A can-do attitude, proactive approach to problem-solving with a focus on continuous improvement.
