Why This Role?
As a Project Manager, you'll take the helm of various high-impact projects ranging from £50K to £600K, steering them from inception to successful delivery within tight deadlines. You'll be responsible for ensuring projects meet stringent timescales, specifications, and budgets, all while exceeding customer expectations. This role offers the perfect blend of strategic oversight and hands-on leadership, as you'll manage financials, subcontractors, and a talented team of engineers. Regular client interactions and a strong focus on Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety aspects make this a challenging yet rewarding position.
What We're Looking For:
- Proven project management experience within the engineering industry, ideally in Power Transmission or a similarly regulated field.
- Strong skills in planning and scheduling with Microsoft Project.
- Excellent communication abilities, both internally and externally.
- Commercial acumen with the ability to identify and resolve risks early.
- A history of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
- Experience in managing subcontractors and leading teams.
- A valid driving license and a willingness to travel, including stays at customer sites.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Familiarity with NEC3/4 contracts.
- Working towards or completion of the APM Practitioner Qualification or a similar Project Management course.
- Experience in project proposals and bid work.
