We are seeking a proactive and motivated Marketing Assistant to join our Fundraising & Marketing team. This role will involve a range of marketing and administrative responsibilities to support the team’s communications and fundraising efforts. As part of your role, you will help with events, manage digital content, handle donor communications, and ensure the smooth operation of various department processes. This is an excellent opportunity to develop hands-on experience in both marketing and fundraising within the charity sector.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Event Support: Assist the team with the administration and guest communications related to fundraising and special events, including high-value partnerships and local/national activities.
  • Social Media & Communications: Manage and monitor social media accounts, contribute to content planning, and help create and schedule posts. Write and issue press releases, monitor their effectiveness, and track media engagement.
  • Website & Collateral Content: Prepare content for the website and other digital channels to promote events, campaigns, and activities.
  • Partnership Development: Assist with the creation and execution of partnership activities to further support Hope for Tomorrow’s mission.
  • General Administration: Assist with day-to-day departmental administration and other team projects as needed to ensure the department operates smoothly.

Skills and Attributes:

  • Excellent Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Teamwork & Initiative: Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also taking initiative and working independently when required.
  • Marketing: A degree in marketing or experience working within marketing is desirable.
  • Customer Care: A passion for delivering high-quality supporter and customer care, with an understanding of its importance in the charity sector.
