Experienced General Sales Manager - Major Car Franchise - West Midlands

OTE £70-£75K OTE

Our client, a multi-franchised Dealer Group well respected major car brand motor dealership group is looking for its next General Sales Manager to lead the successful sales department of their dealership in the West Midlands. The preferred candidate will already have experience in a similar role as they will be expected to hit the ground running in a fast-paced, professional environment. You will actively manage a team of salespeople whilst simultaneously delivering exceptional levels of customer service, achieving sales targets and delivering budgets.

This is and exciting and rare opportunity at a site in the Black Country for an experienced and driven General Sales Manager.The individual needs to be hyper enthusiastic about Car Sales, staff morale and customer satisfaction.This position could ultimately lead to the successful candidate being promoted to the General Manger of the site following a successful probationary period.

The importance of this appointment means that solid, previous experience within car sales management is ESSENTIAL for this role.

Main Duties of the role Include:

  • Drive sales and financial targets
  • Develop a successful sales team through effective coaching and performance management
  • Generate sales plans and budgets to include new/used vehicles
  • Deliver exceptional customer service
  • Work with the Group and Brand managers to formulate policies and procedures to increase sales of new/used vehicles
  • To help the retailer achieve industry-leading standards of process efficiency and cost control
  • Communicate and interact with other departments within the business to determine how sales and profit performance improvements can be made
  • Manage the stock in line with Retailer and Brand requirements
  • Maintain a safe working environment

Essential requirements:

  • Ability to achieve manufacture targets
  • The ability to demonstrate a highly developed sales ability
  • Possess excellent interpersonal skills, with drive and enthusiasm
  • Focus on achieving goals and the ability to demonstrate high achievements
  • Experience within a similar role
  • Committed to customer and process excellence
