NPI Engineer - Full Time

Monday - Friday 08.00am - 16.00pm

Pay: 25k - 35k DOE

People Solutions are looking for a NPI Engineer for our client based in Stourbridge

Day to Day Duties; 

  • Maintain skills matrices and utilise to extend flexibility within team.
  • Liaise closely with sales function to expand markets for potential customer and applications
  • Assist customer visits and liaison and audits.
  • Ensure all machine, plant and equipment are maintained to meet specification and operational demands and optimum utilisation.
  • Convey and drive a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Recommend projects to improve performance and implement cost saving ideas 
  • Visually manage all KPI’s.
  • Attend and participate in meetings
  • Daily review and analysis of internal rejects
  • External rejects/Quality
  • H&S and environmental
  • Production
  • Sample/NPI
  • Continuous improvement/ key tasks and projects
  • Monthly business plan/review
  • Participate in process and quality audits
  • Maintain succession planning and cover within the department

Essential Skills;

  • Confident and proactive with a background in Foundry/forge/Casting/Heaving Engineering
  • Preferably experienced in the application of quality tools essential to New Production Introduction - DFMEA, PFMEA , Control Plans and process/quality auditing
  • Project manage the quality aspects to NPI and Prototype manufacture.
  • Confidently use EXCEL AND WORD

Desirable Experience;

  • Be able to develop and actively improve risk assessments for key activities within departments.
