Smart Education is seeking a dedicated Speech and Language Therapist to join our dynamic team, working in Stourbridge to support children and young people with complex communication needs.

Job Responsibilities:•    Provide therapeutic speech and language sessions to individuals and small groups of students with learning disabilities, Autism, Asperger’s, and other social and behavioural challenges.•    Assess individual speech and language needs to develop tailored support programmes, ensuring all sessions meet high standards of care and individual goals.•    Collaborate with colleagues, external professionals, and therapy staff to implement speech and language strategies across student interactions.•    Attend weekly therapist meetings, contribute to staff training, and support the development of therapy resources and aids.•    Track and report on student progress, attendance, and outcomes, maintaining comprehensive session records.•    Ensure student safety, welfare, and adaptation of therapy sessions as needed.

Job Requirements for this role:•    Recognised qualifications and registration with a professional speech and language organisation•    Experience working with children and young people with diverse and complex needs•    Ability to design individualised therapeutic programmes and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team•    Strong communication, problem-solving, and documentation skills
