Job Description:We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Engineering Administrator to join our team in Stourport. This role is ideal for someone with experience in a shop floor or production environment who is looking to transition into an office-based administrative position. The successful candidate will use their practical knowledge of engineering processes to support our sales and engineering teams, ensuring smooth operations within the department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a key liaison between the office and the shop floor, ensuring clear communication and coordination.
  • Handle telephone queries and respond to emails professionally, especially regarding technical and production-related questions.
  • Manage and process orders for parts, tools, and materials, ensuring prompt and accurate delivery.
  • Produce and manage quotations for customers, drawing on knowledge from the production environment.
  • Inspect goods upon receipt and organise their efficient dispatch, maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Oversee stock levels and order materials, ensuring availability of necessary components in stores.
  • Arrange transport for deliveries, shipments, and manage international orders, ensuring cost-effective logistics.
  • Prepare and manage inspection reports for goods received and dispatched, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company standards.
  • Assist with health and safety arrangements within the department, ensuring compliance with regulations and best practices.
  • Support the engineering and sales teams with general administrative tasks, helping to streamline workflows and improve operational efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Experience working in a production, manufacturing, or shop floor environment.
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with both office and production teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with stock management, inventory systems, or logistics is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of CRM software or sales order processing systems is a plus.
