JOB AD: Device Simulation and Design Engineer

  • Onsite working required We seek a Device Simulation and Design Engineer to enhance our III-V semiconductor design capabilities.
  • This role involves automated optical simulation, design development, and fabrication support.
  • Key tasks include developing simulation techniques (e.g., FDTD, FEM), optimizing structures via machine learning and inverse design, and automating data analysis

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and enhance simulation tools for III-V photonic devices.Provide documentation and train team members on tool usage.
  • Collaborate with Design, Fabrication, and Test teams to ensure seamless integration.
  • Design experiments to assess process tolerances.
  • Contribute to the design and development of III-V photonic components.

Requirements:

  • PhD in Physics, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years in photonics (industry or academia) focusing on III-V photonic devices.
  • Expertise in optoelectronic device physics and simulation tools (FDTD, FEM, COMSOL, VPI).
  • Experience in inverse design methodologies and Python programming.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and reporting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
  • Desired Skills:Publications/conference participation in the field.
  • Experience in device characterization and test data correlation.
  • Hands-on III-V device design (waveguides, lasers, modulators, couplers).
  • Strong teamwork and cross-functional collaboration skills.
