Our Client, a spectacular countryside Hotel, Restaurant and Banqueting venue, are looking for an experienced Sous Chef to join this strong brigade. This beautifully restored Georgian Manor House hosts an impressive array of facilities with an 18 hole golf course, state of the art Leisure Club as well as exquisite gardens on site. They cater for weddings, functions and events, and stay busy right throughout the year.

The ideal Sous Chef will have had experience in banqueting/weddings and functions, be confident managing multiple food outlets, and all the relevant paperwork and compliance documentation.

They are looking for a Sous Chef that is enthusiastic and creative, who ideally has a Rosette level background, and experience in a high volume kitchen. As Sous Chef, you will be expected to work closely with the Head Chef to ensure that every aspect of the service runs smoothly, and in their absence take control of the kitchen. You must have a good working knowledge of every section of the kitchen and also have previous experience training junior chefs. As Sous Chef you will work closely with the Senior Hotel team, you must have good kitchen management skills and be committed to providing a high level of cuisine and service at all times.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Previous experience in a Fine Dining/Rosette standard establishment
  • Passionate and eager to surpass the high standards already maintained by this establishment
  • Staff training experience
  • Work well under pressure
  • Knowledge of each section of the kitchen
