My client are looking for an experienced Interim HSE Manager to join their team and lead the way in ensuring systems and processes for managing risks to the environment, employees, and third parties are embedded.

In this role, you will work closely with the site leadership team, advising on all aspects of EHS compliance, building strong relationships with local authorities, and driving continuous improvement in our safety and environmental programs.

My highly reputable client are looking to recruit an Interim HSE Manager on a 6-month FTC / interim basis, based in Suffolk.

Description

  • Lead EHS Compliance and Improvement Programs: Develop and implement innovative health, safety, and environmental initiatives to achieve a year-on-year reduction in workplace injuries and environmental incidents.
  • Ensure Legal and Company Requirements are Met: Manage and enforce compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental laws and company policies, including conducting comprehensive HSE risk assessments across the site.
  • Conduct Audits and Implement Corrective Actions: Lead internal and external audits, ensuring all corrective actions and learnings from hazard alerts are executed promptly and efficiently.
  • Promote a Positive HSE Culture: Deliver HSE training and coaching, overseeing site-wide induction programs. Lead and coach teams in utilising HSE tools and procedures.
  • Data-Driven Improvements: Use and report HSE data to identify focus areas for improvement, guiding efforts to enhance safety and environmental performance across the site.

Profile

  • Required:
    • 2-3 years of HSE experience in a manufacturing environment.
    • NEBOSH Certificate (or equivalent) and a solid understanding of HSE impacts.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships.
  • Preferred:
    • Experience in engineering, process safety, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments.
    • Strong knowledge of environmental impacts, health and safety risks, and HSE auditing.
    • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing programs.
