We are supporting a leading FMCG business in their search for an additional Engineering Team leader. Working a Panama shift pattern (Days/Nights), the Team Leader will oversee a shift of 4 engineers. This factory has a mix of assets and is currently embarking on a large modernisation programme leading to some interesting project work for the Engineering department.

The ideal candidate will be Electrically Biased, and apprentice trained with a minimum level 3 qualification. There is an extremely healthy training budget for upskilling and continual development. This role is ideal for a seasoned Multi-skilled technician to take their first step into management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement within a team of skilled engineers, fostering collaboration and excellence
  • Manage contractors, oversee workloads, and provide support to ensure targets are met while escalating issues as needed
  • Focus on individual team performance, providing guidance and support to achieve high standards and maintain a safe working environment
  • Implement and lead programs aimed at improving the reliability and availability of engineering equipment in line with departmental objectives
  • Accurately record team activities and maintain effective inventory management aligned with maintenance requirements
  • Identify and manage process improvement initiatives, as well as plan and oversee equipment overhauls
  • Step in to cover for other Team Leaders and deputisefor the Maintenance Manager as required
