A growing MGA has a great new opportunity for a Professional Indemnity (PI ) Underwriter.

As someone with a strong underwriting background you will provide technical leadership and support for the team who are delivering an effective and professional 'market', for Commercial brokers across the UK.

Key Responsibilities as PI Underwriter include:

  • High quality underwriting to deliver a consistent top quality service to your clients and brokers
  • Underwrite new and existing risks accurately
  • Full understanding of the underwriting controls and service level procedures
  • Maintain and develop strong business relationships
  • Ensure all enquiries are dealt with promptly and to liaise with insurers to ensure that the right outcome is achieved.

To be successful as a PI Underwriter you will demonstrate:

  • Strong technical knowledge of PI Underwriting.
  • Extensive knowledge of Commercial insurance underwriting market.
  • Positive attitude with a 'can do' mentality, taking ownership of developing relationships.
  • Organised, thorough and accurate, being proactive and efficient.
  • Ability to negotiate to achieve required outcome.
