As a Principal Primary Design Engineer, you will oversee and innovate on projects like the Sizewell C substation builds, contributing significantly to the infrastructure that powers sustainable energy solutions. Qualifications and Skills:
Essential Criteria:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering (Bachelors or Masters).
  • Chartered Engineer status, or on the path to achieving it.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Proficient in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and 3D CAD.
  • CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) / SHEA (Safety, Health and Environmental Awareness) Power Card; Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Mentor and manage the primary design team, setting high standards and ensuring professional development.
  • Project Execution: Oversee the design and delivery of high-voltage substations, ensuring all technical specifications and standards are met.
  • Strategic Involvement: Participate in client meetings, business development activities, and technical proposal writing.

Working Conditions and Travel:
