We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organised Payroll Assistant to join our client's team on a temporary basis in Stowmarket. The ideal candidate will have experience in payroll processing and a strong understanding of payroll regulations and procedures.
Day-to-day of the role:- Accurately process payroll for employees, ensuring timely and correct payments.
- Maintain and update payroll records, including employee information, hours worked, and deductions.
- Assist in the preparation of payroll reports and summaries.
- Respond to payroll-related enquiries from employees and management.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant payroll laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with the HR and finance departments to resolve payroll discrepancies.
- Assist with year-end payroll processes and reporting.
- Previous experience in a payroll or accounting role.
- Strong knowledge of Sage Line 50.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good understanding of payroll laws and regulations.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
