Logistics Coordinator

• Job Type: 9-month FTC
• Location: Stowmarket - Office and plant setting
• Salary: £33,000 - 12-month equivalent 

We are seeking a Logistics Coordinator to manage specific programs or projects within a dynamic production and shipping environment. This role is ideal for someone with experience in production planning or shipping administration, who can communicate effectively in English and adhere to safety standards.

• Oversee the planning and coordination of production and shipping activities.
• Utilise computer databases to research, maintain, and update records and files.
• Use Microsoft Office applications proficiently to support logistics operations.
• Work collaboratively with various departments to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Engage in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Perform duties in both an office setting and occasionally in a manufacturing plant environment.

• NVQ level 2 or equivalent, or relevant experience.
• Three years’ experience in a production environment and/or shipping administration.
• Proficient in English, both written and verbal.
• Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Ability to work in a time-sensitive and collaborative environment.

• Experience with international shipping.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Moderate to high Excel skills, including V/H lookups, pivot tables, index match functions, etc.

• The role demands the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and requires occasional lifting of moderately heavy objects (up to 25 pounds).
• Personal protective equipment is mandatory in the plant environment.
