Job Title: Transport Administrator

Location: Stowmarket, Suffolk

Salary Negotiable subject to Experience 

Job Purpose:To assist in the day-to-day operations of container transport, transport, and general warehousing.

Role Type:Permanent, Monday to Friday, 08:00-17:00 hrs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring deliveries and collections are completed daily with high accuracy.
  • Inputting bookings into transport software
  • Handling incoming phone calls and emails promptly and efficiently.
  • Managing sub-contractors.
  • Maintaining specific operational software accurately.
  • Managing customer accounts.
  • Performing other tasks and duties as required.

Key Skills Required:

  • Strong knowledge of UK geography.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a distribution environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Quick and efficient problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to prioritise and organise tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Driven and motivated to succeed.
