An exciting opportunity has arisen within a well-established organisation covering Sudbury and Stowmarket for a dynamic Housing Support Worker to join the team in providing person led support to clients living in supported accommodation.

Type: Temporary Location: Stowmarket and SudburyHours: 37.5 hours per weekShifts: Monday to Friday; 9am – 5pm

Daily duties:• Working with a caseload of homeless clients to promote their independence whilst staying in supported accommodation• Deliver emotional and life skills based support, assisting service users with day to day tasks• Complete support plans and risk assessments with the service users• Enforce tenancy conditions in line with procedures including low level anti-social behaviour and rent arrears• Offer specialist knowledge and insight into rent arrears helping tenants with budgeting• Carry out regular estate inspections• Offer advice and assistance to tenants regarding their benefit entitlements• Provide support and advice to tenants in relation to issues concerning their tenancies

Essential requirements:• An Enhanced DBS from within the last three years or the willingness to obtain one• Previous experience supporting vulnerable people in a support setting• Experience working with those with complex needs• A full UK Driving Licence with access to a car
