Join our dedicated SEMH provision in Suffolk, committed to supporting students with social, emotional, and mental health needs. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated KS3 Maths Teacher to help our students thrive academically and personally in a safe and nurturing environment.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality maths lessons tailored to the needs of KS3 students with SEMH.
  • Utilise a variety of teaching methods to engage students and foster a love for mathematics.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and confidence.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement individualised education plans (IEPs).
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the maths curriculum and best practices in SEMH education.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching maths at KS3, preferably within an SEMH or special education setting.
  • Strong understanding of the challenges and needs of students with SEMH.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students with a passion for mathematics.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
