This well established and regarded independent firm are seeking an accountant who is able to support the Audit Director in the provision of a high level of customer-focused and technically excellent audit output.

You'll act in a supervisory role for the junior team; coaching, developing and reviewing their work. You'll also be one of the main points of contact for clients so you'll be an excellent communicator and be able to manage your time, solve problems and present solutions in an easy to understand way.

Job Purpose

  • Supervise the work for a portfolio of varied clients, ensuring expectations, deadlines, and budgets are met.
  • Work closely with senior managers to provide the highest standard of service.
  • Lead audit engagements from planning to completion, including some field work.
  • Support junior staff with learning and development.
  • Build trusted and long-lasting client relationships, proactively handling queries.
  • Identify services that will add value to your portfolio of clients.
  • Champion your own professional development, scoping training opportunities.

The Successful Applicant

  • ACCA, ACA, or FCCA qualified or a finalist with varied audit experience within practice.
  • Able to work autonomously whilst delivering a high standard of service.
  • Adept at supporting audits from planning to completion.
  • Highly organised and able to manage own workload.
  • Self-motivated and reliable.
  • A drive to deliver technical knowledge as a point of call for the team.
  • Confident in reviewing processes and improving systems to boost efficiency.
  • Strong communication skills are essential, both verbal and written.
  • An eagerness to progress with the firm, undertaking continuous professional development.
