A leading Special School in Stratford, with dedicated sites for PMLD and autism spectrum conditions (ASC), is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic PMLD Teaching Assistant to join their exceptional team. Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to students with PMLD, assisting with their learning and personal development.
  • Work closely with the class teacher to deliver engaging lessons and activities.
  • Assist with personal care and mobility needs, ensuring the well-being of students at all times.
  • Support students in building communication, sensory, and life skills.
  • Collaborate with other professionals, such as speech and language therapists and occupational therapists, to deliver a holistic approach to learning.


Ideal Candidate:

  • Previous experience working as a PMLD Teaching Assistant, preferably within a special school setting.
  • Strong understanding of PMLD and autism spectrum conditions.
  • A compassionate, patient, and positive approach to supporting students with complex needs.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
