Project Manager (Civils and Rail)

Location: Stratford (London)

Salary: 50,000 per annum (plus benefits)

Our highly ambitious, major Civils/Rail client is looking for an experienced Project Manager to join their London team. As a Project Manager, you will be overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple structural inspection and testing schemes.

Experience required:

  • Experienced in managing Civil/Rail Engineering projects with a proven record of success.
  • A strong personality and reputation within the industry with a genuine hunger to succeed.
  • Experienced in budget management and financial control, ensuring projects are delivered within budget and resources are used efficiently.
  • Strong understanding of safety procedures, risk management, and asset lifecycle management.

Key Accountabilities and objectives:

  • Project Planning and Coordination: Implement project timelines, allocate resources effectively, and manage budgets for structural inspections on civil infrastructure such as bridges, buildings, retaining walls, and towers.
  • You will be responsible for monitoring budgets, ensuring that all financial aspects are managed effectively, including cost tracking, forecasting, and reporting. Implement financial control measures to ensure that projects are delivered within budget and that resources are utilized efficiently.
  • Lead and mentor a team of engineers and graduates, guiding them in performing safe and efficient inspections using specialized access methods like Rope Access and Confined Space Access. Support their professional growth by providing regular feedback and development opportunities.
