HR Advisor

(Maternity Cover)Street£31000 - £36,000 per annumWe are delighted to continue working with our established & respected client to recruit a HR Advisor to join their Human Resources team on a fixed-term maternity cover contract.

This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and capable HR professional to contribute to a dynamic and supportive HR department. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring smooth day-to-day HR operations and supporting staff and managers across a range of HR functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing timely and accurate HR advice to staff and line managers
  • Supporting employee relations matters including absence management, performance issues, investigations, grievances, and disciplinary hearings
  • Generating reports and analysing HR data to inform decision-making
  • Managing staff probation processes and contractor safeguarding checks
  • Ensuring compliance with HR policies and employment legislation
  • Responding to general HR queries and maintaining up-to-date employee records via a HRIS
  • Assisting with letters and HR documentation

Hours: Full-time (Monday to Friday) - Part-time hours & flexible working will be considered. This role does not offer hybrid working.

About You:

We are looking for either an experienced HR professional with a solid understanding of employment law and best practice, or perhaps someone who is a HR officer, looking to gain HR advisory experience in a dedicated team. You'll need previous HR experience, handling a wide range of HR related matters and ideally have previous experience supporting hearings, or dealing with sickness, absence and safeguarding matters.
