About Us:

We are a dynamic and growing company specializing in fast-track retail and leisure fit-out projects. Our client base includes a number of high profile Retail/Leisure companies across the UK. We are looking for a highly skilled Commercial Manager to join our team and take full financial control of projects from estimating through to final account settlement.

Role Overview:

As a Commercial Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the successful financial management of fit-out projects, ensuring profitability and cost efficiency. You will be responsible for managing costs, subcontractor procurement, and final account settlements, operating as part of a dedicated team delivering high-quality, fast-track projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Take full commercial responsibility for fast-track retail and leisure fit-out projects.

  • Oversee project estimating, subcontractor procurement, cost management, and final account settlements.

  • Ensure total financial control of the project from inception to completion.

  • Collaborate closely with project managers, site teams, and clients to maintain budget adherence.

  • Conduct risk assessments and manage project financial risks effectively.

  • Prepare and present cost reports and forecasts to senior management.

  • Negotiate and manage subcontractor contracts, ensuring value for money.

  • Monitor project costs and budgets, identifying cost-saving opportunities where possible.

Candidate Requirements:
  • Must have demonstrable experience within the fit-out industry.

  • Experience in retail and/or leisure fit-out projects is essential.

  • Not suitable for candidates with backgrounds in housing, civil engineering, or large-scale construction.

  • Strong commercial acumen and financial control skills.

  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously within tight deadlines.

  • Proficient in cost management software and reporting tools.
