Quality Engineer

Job Overview, Responsibilities and Key Duties

The Quality Engineer NPI/FAIR is a key component of the Manufacturing Team. Primarily Interpreting customer requirements and assisting the production teams with New Product Introduction (NPI) and the Primary Lead for completion and submission of customer First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) for new products and repeating infrequent products.

The Quality Engineer NPI/FAIRS will, as required by the needs of the organisation:

Interpret Customer Requirements, in particular customer drawings and specifications and assist with New Product Introduction (NPI).

Complete customer FAIR reports and resolve any issues resulting from customer feedback.

Provide valuable support to the Quality Control Team to manage internal quality of produced product.

Manage and deliver specific assigned Quality related projects and objectives.

Contribute to a safety-first culture in all actions.



Qualifications & Experience

Essential

?At least 3 years direct experience gained within a CNC Machining Environment Inspecting machined products

?Proven ability to interpret technical specifications and drawings

?Competent with Microsoft Office

?Confident Communicator

?Direct experience of completing and submitting First Article Inspection Reports

?Full driving license



Desirable

?Experience of working in an Aerospace AS9100 approved facility

?Experience of Net-Inspect Quality Management System

?Awareness of CNC Milling / Turning and CAD/CAM

?Experience of working with Safran DVI process

?Experience of operating CMM (coordinate measuring machine)
