We're working on behalf of a fantastic Alternative Provision in Stroud that are looking for an SEMH Teaching Assistant to join the team ideally for as soon as possible.
The school supports students that have been included from mainstream education, so it is vital work that the staff do at this school. The work is challenging but incredibly rewarding!
The role
The role of TA revolves heavily around supporting the class teacher with whatever they need. Remaining proactive throughout a school day is crucial in supporting teachers.
You'll be supporting KS3 students who will regularly exhibit challenging behaviour, so experience in this is area is a must. Experience working in a special school is preferred but the school are able to accept applications from candidates with more of a mainstream background.
