AR684 - Technical Service ManagerLocation: StroudSalary: £42,000 - £49,000Overview:First Military Recruitment are currently searching for a Technical Service Manager on behalf of one of our clients.We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Technical Service Manager to lead, support, and provide strategic direction to a regional service team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to manage a team of engineers while ensuring the highest standards in technical service delivery. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical expertise, strong leadership capabilities, and a customer-focused approach to drive continuous improvement in service operations.Our client strongly encourages applications from ex-military personnel but all candidates will be considered.Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage and mentor a team of regional engineers, fostering a motivated and high-performing team environment.
  • Oversee day-to-day activities, ensuring compliance with Health and Safety regulations, resourcing requirements, and contractual obligations.
  • Act as the technical lead, providing solutions to complex issues and maintaining quality standards in build, installation, and commissioning processes.
  • Manage service contract processes, ensuring successful delivery and maintaining strong relationships with customers through excellent communication and service.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance service delivery processes and implement procedural improvements.
  • Mentor, coach, and train team members to support their professional development and ensure a skilled and capable workforce.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Preferably possess experience in the Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMS) or air monitoring industries, with a strong understanding of the technical requirements.
  • Basic knowledge of electronics and an appreciation for the technical aspects of air monitoring systems.
  • Proven experience in managing and developing teams, with the ability to lead by example and inspire performance.
  • Strong understanding of service contract management and delivery, with the ability to navigate customer interactions effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Capable of providing innovative technical solutions while upholding quality and operational standards.
