Transport Planner - General Haulage

Join a well-established and passionate abnormal load and heavy haulage company as their newest Transport Planner.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Collaborating with the Transport Team and Operations Managers to ensure the safe routing of large and abnormal loads.
  • Assisting with transport planning tasks, including briefing and debriefing drivers, monitoring progress, reporting delays, and managing paperwork.
  • Liaising with internal teams and external personnel to ensure all processes are accurately followed.
  • Building strong customer relationships by providing updates, answering queries, and preparing quotations.
  • Ensuring health and safety procedures are adhered to and promptly reporting any incidents.

Your Experience and Skills:

  • Proven experience in transport planning, ideally with a variety of vehicles and large/abnormal loads.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent attention to detail, with an organised and adaptable approach.
  • Good IT skills and a willingness to learn.
  • Logical thinker with problem-solving abilities.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Salary & Benefits:

  • Ā£30,000 - Ā£35,000 per annum, negotiable based on experience.
  • Monday to Friday schedule.
  • 33 days holiday.
