Are you a skilled Machinist Operator looking for an exciting opportunity in a fast-paced manufacturing environment? We are seeking a Machinist with experience in grinding, turning, and balancing to join our team. This role requires precision, technical expertise, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate manual machining equipment, including cylindrical grinding, surface grinding, bore grinding, milling, linishing, fettling, and lathe work.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings to work to fine tolerances.
  • Perform general bench fitting and ultrasonic cleaning.
  • Work with Jones and Shipman Machines (advantageous).
  • Ensure all machining processes meet high-quality standards.
  • Continuously review and suggest improvements to manufacturing processes.
  • Maintain accurate records and update batch travellers/routings as needed.
  • Follow all Health & Safety procedures and ensure equipment is maintained and calibrated.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Time-served Machinist Operator with experience in manual machining.
  • Strong understanding of precision engineering and machining techniques.
  • Experience in aviation or military industries is desirable.
  • Ability to work in a varied and fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated with excellent attention to detail.
  • Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
