Location: Slough
Salary: 24,900 - 25,900
Hours: Monday to Thursday - 08:30 - 17:00 / Friday - 8:30 - 16:30 (+ Overtime available, with competitive rates)
Are you looking for a hands-on role in a dynamic manufacturing environment? We are seeking a semi-skilled Machine Operator to join our client's team. This role is ideal for candidates with a mechanical background who are eager to learn and develop their skills on the job.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate machinery, including Baker Hughes CNC machines (Mori Seiki SL25's), lapping, and polishing machines.
Ensure all quality standards are met before components progress to the next stage.
Perform routine inspections and measurements to verify specifications.
Enter production data into the SAP business system.
Support general machining tasks as needed, including manual bench work and washing components.
Role Requirements:
Some experience in a mechanical or manufacturing environment.
Ability to use manual measuring tools (micrometers, verniers, bore gauges).
Experience with CMM measurement is advantageous.
Comfortable using PC-based systems for data entry.
Good teamwork and communication skills to collaborate with other departments.
