Semi-skilled Machine Operator

Location: Slough

Salary: £24,900 - £25,900

Hours: Monday to Thursday - 08:30 - 17:00 / Friday - 8:30 - 16:30 (+ Overtime available, with competitive rates)

Are you looking for a hands-on role in a dynamic manufacturing environment? We are seeking a semi-skilled Machine Operator to join our client's team. This role is ideal for candidates with a mechanical background who are eager to learn and develop their skills on the job.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate machinery, including Baker Hughes CNC machines (Mori Seiki SL25's), lapping, and polishing machines.

  • Ensure all quality standards are met before components progress to the next stage.

  • Perform routine inspections and measurements to verify specifications.

  • Enter production data into the SAP business system.

  • Support general machining tasks as needed, including manual bench work and washing components.

Role Requirements:
  • Some experience in a mechanical or manufacturing environment.

  • Ability to use manual measuring tools (micrometers, verniers, bore gauges).

  • Experience with CMM measurement is advantageous.

  • Comfortable using PC-based systems for data entry.

  • Good teamwork and communication skills to collaborate with other departments.
