Senior Mechatronics / Automation Systems Engineer - Surrey.A Senior Engineer with a background involving automation systems, electro-mechanical products and complex control systems and who also has strong 3D CAD skills, will join a Globally respected name in the renewable energy industry.

As a key member of the automation team, the successful Senior Engineer for Mechatronics & Industrial Automation will design machines such as robots, actuators and conveyors; design electrical and pneumatic control systems as well as managing automation projects and providing technical assistance to other engineers.

Skills and experience for the Senior Mechatronics Engineer should include:

  • Degree qualification in Mechatronics, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • 4+ years industrial experience in the design of electro-mechanical products or machines.
  • Solid 3D CAD skills (SolidWorks ideal).
  • A good understanding of pneumatic and electrical control systems.
  • Writing software for PLC controls systems.
  • What would also be great to see is experience using Allen Bradley RS Logix/Studio 5000 and FactoryTalk View; programming Mitsubishi SCARA robots, programming Fanuc 6 axis robots.

The ideal Senior Mechatronics & Automation Engineer will be a quality focused individual with excellent analytical skills who has the capability to understand end-user requirements.
